Meet our owner & director

Hafiza A. Karim is the Director, Teacher, and Owner of Our Nurturing Village LLC, a home daycare in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, California. With over 23 years of experience as a nanny, doula, and early childhood educator, she brings extensive knowledge of child development and family support. Hafiza holds multiple degrees in Early Childhood Education and Childcare Management, including one from National-Louis University. She is passionate about creating a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

At our daycare, we focus on both individualized and group learning to support every child’s development. We combine Montessori principles with play-based learning to create a fun, engaging environment where children can build skills, explore their interests, and grow at their own pace. This balanced approach encourages creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong social connections while helping children develop a lifelong love of learning.

Our son Harry was under the care of Hafiza from 4 months old where he developed a strong bond with Hafiza. We feel incredibly lucky that we found such a warm, attentive and professional teacher. She provided a fun and safe environment with activities and toys specific to Harry’s interests and stages of development. As first time parents, it was incredible to have Hafiza as a mentor and friend who provided us with encouragement, tips and regular updates on Harry’s progress.
